DIY | Lavender Himalayan Bath Salt

Last week I foraged these gorgeous lavender from a garden and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make a jar of bath salt with Himalayan pink sea salt. I love taking long luxurious baths and bath salts are so perfect for hydrating the skin, improving blood circulation, relieving stress and reducing aching muscles for me especially after a few days of intensive yoga.

Lavender is one of my favourite scents when it comes to body products. The scent is instantly calming and I've always loved the beautiful purple shades of the flower. I never have the heart to throw away my dried flowers when so I usually keep them to use in my DIY shenanigans. In this case, it would be these lovely rose petals. They were originally pink but have turned into this rich, whisky colour which I find to be absolutely beautiful. So, I decided to add a handful in today's beauty DIY. I hope you enjoy!

You will need:

1 cup himalayan pink sea salt
1/2 cup epsom salt
1/4 cup of dried lavender
a handful of dried rose petals
5-10 drops of lavender essential oil
a mason jar

1.  Mix 1 cup of Himalayan sea salt and 1/2 cup of epsom salt in a bowl.
2.  Add 1/4 cup of lavender, a handful of dried rose petals and 5-10 drops of lavender essential oil.
3.  Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl and store the mixture in a mason jar or airtight container. Enjoy!
