Raw Cacao Chia Oatmeal Pudding

Chia puddings are one of my favourite things to wake up to in the morning.  Breakfast jars, on the other hand, couldn't be easier to make.  They're perfect for busy mornings where you need to just grab and go!  Planning ahead is key and breakfast jars are a sure way to ensure breakfast is always healthy and delicious.  I'm making most of citrus season before we transition from this cold winter into beautiful spring.  Grapefruit are a delicious and gorgeous way to add a refreshing flavour combination to any dish - especially with cacao! Make this the night before and you will be happy in the morning.  I hope you enjoy! 

INGREDIENTS (makes 1 serving)

3 tbspn chia seeds
3 tbsp oatmeal
1 tbsp quinao flakes
1 tbsp raw cacao powder
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp cashew meal
1/4 tspn maca powder
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup almond milk


In a mason, combine 3 tbsp of chia with 1/2 cup of water. I like to let it sit for 5 minutes before adding the rest of the ingredients.  Once the chia seeds plump up a little, proceed with adding oatmeal, quinoa flakes, raw cacao powder, maple syrup, brown sugar, cashew meal and maca powder with almond milk. Mix well, top with grapefruit, close lid and place in the fridge. That's it! Enjoy the next morning and I hope you enjoy! :)
