When I was a freshman in college, I spent my first year studying abroad in at Polimoda in Florence, Italy. Honestly speaking, it was hands down one of the most incredible years of my life. I learned so much, made so many new and wonderful friends, ate some of the best food I had ever tasted and traveled the most breathtaking places. I recently just found a couple thousand of pictures from my year in Europe on my external hard drive, and spent the next couple of hours in sitting in a pool of nostalgia. Italy, I miss you so much and I wish I could come back and eat delicious pistacchio gelato while over looking Ponte Vecchio.
Looking back now, I really wished I had a better camera rather than a simple Sony Cybershot. I realize now how much I appreciate good quality photographs. They really do make a difference. But what do you know when you're 18? I was happy just being able to travel, even if it was with a point and shoot! I will be uploading all my pictures as part of my travel diaries on the blog. These pictures were taken in 2009 and 2010. Oldies, but goodies! It's going to take me a couple hundred of hours to sort through all these pictures, but I think I will appreciate having these pictures archived and organized when I look back 10 years in time.
