If you haven't heard by now... NINA DOBREV is the newest Reebok and Les Mills brand ambassador. Together, their goal is to fulfill the brand's shared and longstanding commitment to inspire, engage and empower people to be fit for life though the power of group fitness. To celebrate the official partnership on Thursday, I was invited to the ultimate stacation in Brooklyn with Nina that she personally curated.
It was an epic day to night fitness and wellbeing experience filled with all of the things that she loves most: fitness, music, fashion, wellbeing and adventure! We started the day on a rooftop. I tried the LES MILLS BODYFLOW class for the first time and absolutely loved it! It's a combination of tai-chi, yoga and pilates fused into one.
BODYFLOW is one of Nina's favorite ways to start the day, and I couldn't have had a better first time experience with a stunning 360 degree view of the New York skyline on top of The William Vale in Brooklyn.
After BODYFLOW, we sat down for brunch and fueled our bodies with some wholesome, organic and nourishing food prepared by Sakara Life while enjoying an intimate acoustic performance by Eryn Allen Kane, followed by a styling session with Nina and her longtime stylist Ilaria Urbinati. We chatted about athleisure and Nina talked through how she styles the Reebok and Les Mills collaborative collection to take her from gym wear to street style.
If you watched my stories on Instagram, you might have seen what happened next...
In the afternoon, Nina took us on the workout adventure of a lifetime.
I had no idea what to have expected, but we ended up on a BOAT as we made our way to a LES MILLS GRIT workout on a custom built moving barge on New York’s Hudson River with 50 women!
Inspired by Nina’s love of adventure, it was the first time a workout has ever been done atop the iconic river with sweeping views of New York’s most iconic landmarks.
Through her partnership with Reebok and Les Mills, Nina is encouraging a new generation of women across the world to harness their passion, energy and confidence through fitness.
Even as a yoga devotee, I truly enjoyed how diverse and different Les Mills workouts are. I loved BODYFLOW, but the GRIT workout kicked my ass. Interval training is my weakness and truthfully speaking, I've never liked cardio so I really struggled keeping up with GRIT... because let me tell you - it is HARD. But after that experience, I'm actually feeling a stronger desire to work on my fitness level, with cardio in particular. Being truly healthy isn't just about eating well, it's about moving in a way that feels good, too. As Nina said, you can’t beat working out as a group – you push each other to go further and there’s a real sense of empowerment that makes you feel part of a community. That’s what today was all about.
Thank you Nina for letting me be a part of your girl squad and to Reebok and Les Mills for a truly inspiring day!
