I get this feeling every year when spring arrives in New York. It's a familiar feeling, like welcoming an old friend home. Every season evokes a different emotion, but spring allows me to feel brand new. Yesterday Jane and I strolled through Chinatown after a much needed dim sum date. I have passed by Columbus Park many times before, usually while rushing to a restaurant nearby, but today I noticed the beautiful pink cherry blossoms on the trees and decided to stop by after lunch. As I strolled through the park, I noticed how lighthearted and content everyone appeared to be. Sundays in the Chinese community are for morning strolls, Tai-Chi, card games, chit chats, boardgames, live musical performances. There is serenity in the air and I adore it.
