Climbing Mt. Hallasan

If there's one thing that I've noticed that Koreans really like, it's hiking. Whether it's up Namsan Park to the Namsan Tower in Seoul or for the view on top of Seongsan Ilchubong, you'll find almost everyone here fully prepped with backpacks full of lunches, hiking boots and trekking poles.

When my friends told me that we were going trekking, I didn't expect that we would be spending five hours climbing the shield volcano on Jeju Island. After rows of seemingly never ending steps, we finally reached the top. And the view was worth it.
